RELIEF VALVE
Pressure Relief Valve (PRV)
A spring-loaded safety device that opens at a preset pressure to prevent overpressure in
systems.
It opens when pressure goes above the set limit and closes once normal pressure resumes.
Vacuum Relief Valve (VRV)
Opens under negative internal pressure to admit air into the system, protecting against vacuum
collapse.
