INTRODUCTION TO DIVERTER VALVES

Our Diverter Valves in Bulk Solids Handling Systems, designed to direct the flow of powders, granules or other dry bulk materials from one source to multiple destinations. Our diverters play a vital role in ensuring efficient and controlled material distribution in pneumatic conveying systems and gravity flow lines.

Our valves are used in industries such as food processing, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, plastics and cement, where reliable material routing is essential for their process requirements.

Proper selection of a diverter valve depends on factors such as material characteristics, applications and other requirements. Our diverters robust construction and precise sealing capabilities help reduce downtime and maintenance, making them a vital part of modern bulk solids handling systems .

FAQ
1. Can DTD be used in WET application like CIP process?
it is meant only for dry application without any CIP. Only product contact parts are in SS material. Housing and plug are in Aluminum material.
2. What is the maximum product temperature DTD can handle?
Only up to 80 deg C. Since the housing and plug are in Aluminum, thermal expansion is faster for high temperatures resulting in pipe fitted with them will become loose.
3. What seals are used for pressure less than 2 bar and what seals to be used for pressure more than 2 bar?
Static seals or pressure less than 2 bar and inflatable seals from 2-6 bar.
4. Can DTD be mounted in any orientation?
Yes. It can be installed in any plane horizontal, vertical, or inclined etc.

Frequently Asked Questions
5. What is the best way to orient the flow line of DTD diverter valve?
It is always recommended to keep the straight flow as the product flow line always and divert line only for diversion as and when needed.
6. Is it good to change the direction of DTD during the product fly?
No. the product flow should be stopped for a few secs followed dry run (without product) and then the line has to changed.
7. What special seal is recommended for abrasive products like sugar in this valve?
This diverter valve with polyurethane seals is recommended for mildly abrasive products like crystal sugars etc. . The other option is, we can have thicker tube in product contact area.
8. Where do we use DTD – X diverter?
It is developed mainly for abrasive product like chemical powders, Silica, cement etc..

FAQ
1. When to use this diverter ?
when the size is more than 200, DTD ranges are not available. Hence, we go for this.
2. What is the limitation of this diverter?
it is used only for diverting and cannot be used in converging application.
SDTD ( Single Tunnel Drum type Diverter )
Frequently Asked Questions
3. What is the disadvantage of this SDTD ?
since the switching angle is more, it takes time for diversion. Very hard materials ( very brittle materials ) when handled by this diverter will have more product degradation as the diversion angle is sharp and more. Sometimes it is used for smaller sizes because of low cost of manufacturing.

SCALE VALVE
SCALE VALVE
INTRODUCTION TO SCALE VALVE

Scale Valve (SV-A also known as a Bottom Diverter or Fill Vent Diverter) is a pneumatically actuated diversion valve designed to divert bulk solids during pneumatic transport.

It is designed for applications like dosing, weighing, batching and filling.

Principle Operations

  • Straight-through mode: Inlet and outlet aligned; material flows straight thru.
  • Divert mode: the leaf rotates to redirect material into a weigh hopper or scale vessel; conveying air is vented separately.

By using a Scale Valve, customers can replace individual bin vents on each hopper with a single, common dust collector unit, leading to substantial cost savings.

SV-A units are available with Pipe and Flange End Connections in sizes ranging from 50 mm to 150 mm.

3. What end connections are available?
Scale Valves are offered with pipe connections and flanged connections.
SCALE VALVE
Frequently Asked Questions
4. What is the benefit of using a Scale Valve?
By using a Scale Valve, customers can eliminate the need for a separate bin vent on each hopper / weigh hopper and instead use a common bin vent for air filtration. This reduces cost and simplifies maintenance.
5. Does the Scale Valve have a seal?
No. The Scale Valve does not have a seal. Instead, it is designed with a tight clearance like rotary valve between the leaf and housing, which minimizes product leakage effectively without requiring seals.

LSV
INTRODUCTION TO LSV

Our LSV is designed to use in pneumatic conveying applications to divert product flow from one location to 2 or 3 destinations and also used to converge the product flow from 2 or 3 lines into one line.

LSV is used to pneumatically convey the powders and pellets with minimum product degradation in dilute and dense phase pressure and vacuum systems.

LSV is available in 2 and 3 port versions with 80 to 150 mm pipe configuration.

Dynamic seal can be used for pneumatic conveying applications from -0.8 bar g up to 3 bar g.

Goose neck in LSV is smooth and prevents product stagnation.

All ports of the LSV are sealed, ensuring that no air or product leakage occurs from unused ports.

LSV is suitable for COP and CIP applications.

BY PASSVALVE
BY PASS
INTRODUCTION TO BY PASS VALVE

By-Pass Valve (BPV)is also called as “Air Only Diverter” specifically designed to divert the air in pneumatic conveying systems..

This is typically used in Lean Phase Pneumatic Conveying Systems for both pressure and vacuum conveying applications.

BPV is used in Vacuum Systems in order to provide in-line Vacuum Relief and to ensure safe operation of Blowers and Vacuum Vessels / Hoppers.

In a Pressure System with the BPV, the Air is Vented Out to the Atmosphere when not needed while changing Diverter Valve Direction instead of Switching off the Blower.

BPV is used in Water Treatment Systems as an Un-loading Valve in the Blower Line.

BPV units are available in sizes ranging from 50 mm to 200 mm.

Construction : Aluminium

Sizes : 50, 75,100 & 150 mm

Plunger : Standardized on SS material with FDA rubber disc
